Baseball Recap: Vermilion Takes a Loss

Vermilion fell victim to Margaretta and their airtight pitching crew on Sunday. They fell just short of the Polar Bears by a score of 1-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Polar Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-2 back in April.

Vermilion has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Margaretta, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-4.

Looking ahead, Vermilion will venture away from home to take on Port Clinton at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Margaretta, they will host St. Mary Central Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
