Volleyball Recap: Academy for Innovative Education Takes a Loss

Academy for Innovative Education was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Downtown Doral Dolphins. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Aviators of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2022.

The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-4, 25-9.

Downtown Doral found their leader in sophomore Ana Quinones, who had ten aces and three digs.

Academy for Innovative Education's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Downtown Doral, they pushed their record up to 11-8 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Academy for Innovative Education wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Edison Private on the 9th. As for Downtown Doral, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Divine Savior Academy on the 9th.
