Softball Recap: Waite Indians vs. Ottawa Hills Green Bears
Waite couldn't beat Ottawa Hills on Tuesday even though they stacked seven runs on them in the seventh inning. The Indians fell 15-11 to the Green Bears. The Indians were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Green Bears earlier this season, when they won 30-21.

Alexis Avila was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She struck out eight batters over 5.1 innings while giving up three earned (and ten unearned) runs off five hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going 4-for-5 with four stolen bases, three runs, and one double. That double marked the first that she has hit this season.
