Basketball Recap: Bishop Neumann Comes Up Short

Bishop Neumann lost to Mount Michael Benedictine on December 9th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cavaliers took a hard 58-41 fall against the Knights. The Cavaliers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Bishop Neumann still got an impressive performance from Jalen Miller, who almost dropped a double-double with 20 points and nine boards. Miller's morning made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Quin Schutt, who posted seven points and 11 rebounds.

Miles Wewel went supernovafor Mount Michael Benedictine, shooting 82% from the field on his way to 20 points. Derek Brewer also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Bishop Neumann's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Mount Michael Benedictine, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.

Bishop Neumann didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 56-41 loss against Gross Catholic on the 3rd. As for Mount Michael Benedictine, they have also already played their next contest, a 54-46 win against Grand Island Central Catholic on the 2nd.
