Basketball Recap: Bledsoe County Gets the Win

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last five times Bledsoe County and South Pittsburg have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Thursday. The Warriors secured an 80-74 W over the Pirates. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 74-58 on January 5th.

Bledsoe County's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-5. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.3 points over those games. As for South Pittsburg, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-4.

Looking ahead, Bledsoe County will head out on the road to face off against Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Pittsburg, they will host Sale Creek at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
