Basketball Game Preview: Tintic Miners vs. Tabiona Tigers

Tintic hasn't had much luck against Tabiona recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. Having just played yesterday, the Tintic Miners will jump right back in to play the Tabiona Tigers at 5:00 p.m. Tintic knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Tabiona likes a good challenge.

On Friday, Tintic didn't have too much trouble with Wendover as they won 71-56.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tintic to victory, but perhaps none more so than Hagen Barton, who went 6-for-7 from beyond the arc on his way to 24 points. The dominant performance gave Barton a new career-high in points. Stockton Hansen was another key player, going 8-for-12 to rack up 18 points.

Meanwhile, Tabiona didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Manila on Friday, but they still walked away with a 56-50 win. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won five in a row.

Tintic has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points over those games. As for Tabiona, their win bumped their record up to 17-5.

Tintic didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Tabiona in their previous matchup last Friday, but they still walked away with a 62-57 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Tintic since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
