Basketball Recap: Lake Central Has No Trouble Against Chesterton

After losing to Chesterton the last time they met, Lake Central decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Lake Central Indians walked away with a 60-50 victory over the Chesterton Trojans on Friday. The contest marked the Indians' most dominant win of the season.

Lake Central's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zachary Greene, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and ten boards. Greene's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Noah Enyeart was another key player, putting up 15 points and seven rebounds.

The win (which was Lake Central's third in a row) raised their record to 5-10. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.7 points per game. As for Chesterton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season.

Lake Central will face off against Merrillville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Chesterton has already played their next match (against Hanover Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
