Basketball Game Preview: South Lyon Lions vs. Walled Lake Northern Knights

The South Lyon Lions are taking a road trip to take on the Walled Lake Northern Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, South Lyon came up short against Milford and fell 67-58. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 398th, while the Mavericks are ranked 61st).

Meanwhile, Walled Lake Northern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 41-34 to Lakeland.

Walled Lake Northern's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for South Lyon, they dropped their record down to 3-12 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

South Lyon came up short against Walled Lake Northern in their previous meeting on January 7th, falling 42-38. Can South Lyon avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
