Volleyball Recap: Tyler Takes a Loss

The Tyler Knights came up short against the Poca Dots on Saturday and fell 2-0. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Katie Grimm paced Tyler's offense, picking up eight kills. Grimm got some help from Raylynn Heintzman and her 17 assists. Macie Highley controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Tyler's defeat dropped their record down to 20-10. As for Poca, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That somehow still isn't as good as their 30-5-5 record this season.

Tyler and Poca should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps West Virginia Rankings. The Knights (ranked 27th) will meet Doddridge County (ranked 91st) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Poca will take on Point Pleasant at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (20 vs. 63).
