Baseball Recap: King's Fork Wins Going Away Against Norview

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Great Bridge, King's Fork was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They put the hurt on the Norview Pilots with a sharp 10-2 victory. The contest marked the Bulldogs' most dominant win of the season.

Josh Harris made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Camden Hill, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of King's Fork's success: when he posts at least three hits the team is 2-1 (and 5-9 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Jha'Siah Brown, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

King's Fork was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .424. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

King's Fork has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-10 record this season. As for Norview, their loss dropped their record down to 9-7.

Looking ahead, King's Fork will challenge Indian River at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Someone's luck will take a turn for the better: the Bulldogs have lost three straight at home , while the Braves have lost three on the road. As for Norview, they will head out to challenge Churchland at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Truckers' pitching crew has only allowed 1.1 runs per game this season, so the Pilots' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
