Soccer Recap: University Takes a Loss

University and Buckhannon-Upshur pushed the score to 5-3 the last time they played Buckhannon-Upshur, but on Saturday defenses reigned supreme. The Hawks fell 2-0 to the Buccaneers. University were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Buckhannon-Upshur apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

University has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. As for Buckhannon-Upshur, their victory ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 5-10-1.

University has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Parkersburg on the 7th. As for Buckhannon-Upshur, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next match, a 6-5 win against Lewis County on the 7th.
