Meanwhile, Chapin posted their closest victory since February 28, 2025 on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Monterey 5-4.

The victory got Chapin back to even at 3-3. As for Mountain View, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.
