Soccer Game Preview: Guthrie vs. Guymon

Guthrie is 2-8 against Guymon since April of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Bluejays will welcome the Tigers at 7:00 p.m.

Guthrie fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Western Heights on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Jets by a score of 3-2. While losing is never fun, Guthrie can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma soccer rankings (they are ranked 96th, while Western Heights are ranked 19th).

Meanwhile, Guymon kept a clean sheet against Carl Albert on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Titans by a score of 2-0. Guymon haven't had any issues with Carl Albert recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Guthrie's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Guymon, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3.
