Baseball Game Preview: Indian Creek Redskins vs. East Liverpool Potters

The Indian Creek Redskins will face off against the East Liverpool Potters at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Indian Creek has three straight victories, East Liverpool has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Indian Creek's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They put the hurt on Brooke with a sharp 6-0 win. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

The result came thanks to Sylus Hyde's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up 12 Ks.

At the plate, Ty Householder was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Householder is also crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for East Liverpool's offense. They lost 10-0 to Buckeye Local on Monday.

East Liverpool's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Indian Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.

Indian Creek's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's match. The Redskins have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.7 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for East Liverpool, though, as they've been averaging only 0.7 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Indian Creek continue to outrun the ball?

Indian Creek took their win against East Liverpool when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 12-2 score. Do the Redskins have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Potters turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
