Springfield lost to Clarksville back in August of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Yellow Jackets came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 19-7. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Yellow Jackets.

Jaidon Hurst was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 68 yards and a pair of scores.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Springfield's defense and their three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Cameron Wilson, Courtavious Herring, and Braydon Trusty, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Springfield's record is now 2-0. As for Clarksville, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Springfield will square off against Portland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Clarksville, they will challenge Rossview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The match will give the Wildcats their first taste of in-conference action this season.
