Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Trinity Presbyterian couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Oak Grove Tigers by a score of 4-3 on Thursday. The Wildcats' loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Trinity Presbyterian saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Xavier Boswell, who went 1-for-4 with one run.

Trinity Presbyterian's defeat dropped their record down to 28-9. As for Oak Grove, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 29-3.
