Baseball Recap: Belleville Comes Up Short

Belleville was the 8-6 winner over Airport when they last played one another on Saturday, but their luck changed this time around. The Tigers took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jets on Saturday.

Belleville has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Airport, their win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Belleville will take on Glenn at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers are facing the Rockets at the right time seeing as the Rockets are stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Airport, they are taking a road trip to square off against Flat Rock at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Jets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rams have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season.
