Pioneer Valley recap September 17, 2013
Bear River moved up to 350 from 461 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Pioneer Valley. The Bruins were able to make move up by besting Woodland 35-7.
Foothill lost to Sacramento 61-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Colfax's dynamic duo of Michael Wilson and Chris Harshman proved to be unstoppable against Union Mine, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Wilson threw for 265 yards and 5 touchdowns and Harshman had 107 yards receiving. Chas Reisinger helped Colfax's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 80 yards.
The Falcons' dynamic duo of Wilson and Harshman proved tough for the Diamondbacks to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Harshman was the best wideout in the league this week as Colfax bested Union Mine.
Wilson put up the best numbers through the air as Tony Martello's team beat Dave Johnson's team.
Todd Valliere was a beast in the backfield as Placer defeated McLane.
Valliere was the best running back in the league this week. In 25 carries, he ran for 212 yards as the Hillmen beat the Diamondbacks. Teammate Cole Blackwell added to the ground attack by rushing for 80 yards.
Leading Pioneer Valley in both passing and receiving yards, Colfax's Wilson and Reisinger have proven to be a lethal combination. 5-10 quarterback Wilson has thrown for 824 yards this season, while Reisinger has 17 catches for 297 yards. Valliere from Placer leads the league in rushing with 446 yards.
Joey Montoya's team led the league in scoring this week after putting up 55 points on the Highlanders. Valliere during the win.
