Basketball Recap: Ola Sets Scoring Season-High Against Eagle's Landing

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ola). They came out on top against the Eagle's Landing Eagles by a score of 59-47 on Tuesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Mustangs who have now won three games in a row.

Ola had a senior duo take command as Aijah Manning dropped a double-double on 31 points and 11 boards and Elissa Means dropped a double-double on 19 points and 17 rebounds. Those 19 points gave Means a new career-high. Tameya Miller was another key player, putting up eight points.

Ola's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Eagle's Landing, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ola will take on Jones County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Jones County's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Eagle's Landing, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Union Grove at 6:00 p.m.
