Volleyball Game Preview: Kellam Knights vs. Midlothian Trojans

The Kellam Knights will face off against the Midlothian Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Kellam sitting on 18 straight victories and Midlothian on eight.

Kellam is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They blew past Maury 3-0.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Kellam was: they took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-15, 25-12.

Emmie Irving was nothing short of spectacular: she had seven digs and four aces. She is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 18 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Irving wasn't the only good servers: Kellam was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September.

Meanwhile, Midlothian beat Potomac Falls 3-1 on Saturday.

Kellam's win bumped their record up to 23-3. As for Midlothian, their victory bumped their record up to 24-1.
