With a playoff win on the line, Bristol-Plymouth RVT rose to the challenge on Friday. They walked away with a 5-1 victory over the South Colonels. The win was nothing new for the Craftsmen as they're now sitting on six straight.

Bristol-Plymouth RVT let Kyle Weldon and Antonio Cirino run wild. Weldon went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double, while Cirino went 2-for-3 with two runs and two doubles. Those two doubles gave Cirino a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Joe Benevides, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI.

Bristol-Plymouth RVT was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .429 or higher in three consecutive matchups.

Bristol-Plymouth RVT pushed their record up to 14-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for South, their loss dropped their record down to 16-5.

Bristol-Plymouth RVT and South are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Craftsmen will challenge Duxbury on Monday. The last three games the Dragons have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for South, they will venture away from home to take on Bishop Feehan at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday. The Shamrocks' pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so the Colonels' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
