Evans came into Thursday's matchup having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Augusta Prep Cavaliers on Thursday. That's more bragging rights for the Knights, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Evans easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-18.

Evans' victory bumped their record up to 6-20. As for Augusta Prep, with the defeat, they broke their four-match winning streak and moved their record to 13-9.

Evans wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Statesboro on the 30th. As for Augusta Prep, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Lakeside on the 25th.
