Basketball Recap: Riverside Christian Takes a Loss

Riverside Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 57-21 loss at the hands of the Sunnyside Christian Knights. While losing is never fun, the Crusaders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 347th, while the Knights are ranked 139th).

Riverside Christian's record is now 2-8. As for Sunnyside Christian, they pushed their record up to 10-2 with the win, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Riverside Christian and Touchet will face off at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Riverside Christian is facing Touchet at the right time seeing as Touchet is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Sunnyside Christian, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Yakama Nation Tribal at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Sunnyside Christian's defense has only allowed 26.9 points per game this season, so Yakama Nation Tribal's offense will have their work cut out for them.
