Volleyball Recap: Genoa-Kingston Falls Short of Richmond-Burton in the Playoffs + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Genoa-Kingston can now relate to. They fell 2-0 to the Richmond-Burton Rockets on Thursday. The Cogs' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

While Genoa-Kingston was not able to win a set, they sure kept things interesting: every set was decided by exactly two points. The final score came out to 28-26, 25-23.

Richmond-Burton can attribute much of their success to Malorie Komar, who had nine digs and three aces. That's the most digs Komar has posted since back in September.

Genoa-Kingston's defeat dropped their record down to 22-14. As for Richmond-Burton, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 30-7.

Genoa-Kingston does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Richmond-Burton, they will take on Montini Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
