Softball Recap: Gregori Takes a Loss

After flying high against Modesto last Tuesday, Gregori came back down to earth. The Jaguars came up short against the Hughson Huskies on Wednesday, falling 15-9. It was the first time this season that the Jaguars let down their fans at home.

Ariana Aguirre led a balanced group of hitters, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. Audrey Pacheco was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.

Gregori's defeat dropped their record down to 13-4. As for Hughson, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7-1 record this season.

Gregori will be playing at home against Pitman at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hughson, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Ripon at 4:00 p.m. on the 29th.
