Soccer Game Preview: Eastern Guilford vs. Asheboro + How To Watch

Eastern Guilford hasn't had much luck against Asheboro recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Wildcats will challenge the Blue Comets at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

It was a proper cat-fight when Eastern Guilford took on Rockingham County on Monday. The Wildcats' defense stepped up to hand the Cougars a 1-0 shutout. Eastern Guilford haven't had any issues with Rockingham County recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Asheboro made easy work of Southeast Guilford on Thursday and carried off a 6-2 win. Considering Asheboro have won eight matches by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting Southeast Guilford from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Ozmar Martinez led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Eastern Guilford's record is now 3-13-1. As for Asheboro, their record now sits at 12-5-3.

Eastern Guilford might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Asheboro in their previous matchup on October 2nd. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
