Baseball Recap: Hatton Victorious

Hatton got themselves on the board against Austin on Monday, but Austin never followed suit. They came out on top against the Austin Black Bears by a score of 4-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hornets.

Not much got past Bryson Jeffreys, who gave up just three hits to keep Austin off the board.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Tasean Love, who went 1-for-4 with one home run. That home run marked the first that he launched this season.

Hatton hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most two strikeouts in three consecutive matches.

Hatton's win bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Austin, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-11.

Coming up, Hatton will be playing in front of their home fans against Red Bay at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hatton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.3 runs per game this season. As for Austin, they will square off against Sparkman at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
