Soccer Recap: Young Men's Leadership Academy Comes Up Short

Young Men's Leadership Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Dunbar Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Young Men's Leadership Academy of the 4-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Their goal came courtesy of Christian Rodriguez Rivas, who's now up to three this season.

Young Men's Leadership Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5-1. As for Dunbar, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Young Men's Leadership Academy will welcome Eastern Hills at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Eastern Hills' last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Dunbar, they will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Diamond Hill-Jarvis at 8:00 p.m. Diamond Hill-Jarvis has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 17 goals over their last three games.
