Baseball Recap: Westerville North Triumphs

After losing to Worthington Kilbourne the last time they met, Westerville North decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Warriors walked away with a 6-3 win over the Wolves on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

Austin Heminger made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched seven innings while giving up three earned runs off eight hits. Heminger was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Westerville North is undefeated when Heminger posts two or more runs, but 5-7 otherwise.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ethan Robinson, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Maddox Montgomery, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Westerville North's victory bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Worthington Kilbourne, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 11-7.
