Volleyball Recap: Browne Takes a Loss

After flying high against Kofa last Thursday, Browne came back down to earth. The Bruins fell just short of the Camelback Spartans by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Bruins were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Browne sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 20-25, 25-23, 18-25, 20-18.

Camelback can attribute much of their success to Brooke Villaverde, who had 18 digs.

Browne now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Camelback, the victory snapped their losing streak at seven matches and leaves them with a 2-10 record.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Browne will challenge rival Cesar Chavez at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Camelback is set to face off against their familiar foe South Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
