Gabi Kirchner and Elayna Vannett secure win for Two Rivers

Recap: Two Rivers Warriors vs. South St. Paul Packers
The Two Rivers Warriors lost to the South St. Paul Packers back in March of 2023, but the Two Rivers Warriors didn't allow the South St. Paul Packers the same satisfaction on Friday. Two Rivers came out on top against South St. Paul by a score of 45-36. Given Two Rivers' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 120th, while South St. Paul is ranked 245th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Two Rivers was led to victory by Gabi Kirchner and Elayna Vannett. Kirchner scored nine points along with 17 rebounds, while Vannett scored 17 points. The game was Vannett's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Isabelle Vannett, who scored eight points.
Two Rivers' win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for South St. Paul, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.
Two Rivers will head out on the road to face off against North at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. South St. Paul will take on Simley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
