Softball Game Preview: Black River Pirates vs. North Olmsted Eagles

The Black River Pirates will head out to challenge the North Olmsted Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Black River is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Black River's last matchup with Norwayne could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match on Saturday. Black River lost 21-2 to Norwayne.

Mallory Eckert was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI. Remi Dieter was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.

Meanwhile, North Olmsted was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of Cuyahoga Falls.

Morgan Outrich made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Jocelyn Suckart, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Black River's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for North Olmsted, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 0-3.
