Baseball Recap: Walton Comes Up Short

Walton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 8-0 to the Delaware Academy Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 21-3 back in April.

Walton's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Delaware Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Looking ahead, Walton will challenge Greene at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Delaware Academy, they will take on Stamford at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Black Knights' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
