Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Freedom Prep Academy Eagles as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Phoenix have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

While Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Freedom Prep Academy scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-23, 25-19.

Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Freedom Prep Academy, their defeat ended a ten-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 2-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering will venture away from home to take on Trezevant at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Freedom Prep Academy, they will head out to challenge Westwood at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
