Softball Recap: Westview Comes Up Short

Westview was the 15-11 winner over South Gibson when they last played one another back in March of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Chargers fell 8-3 to the Hornets on Tuesday. The Chargers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lakyn Rogers made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one triple. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last three times she's played. Alexis Evans was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Westview's record is now 7-4. As for South Gibson, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

Westview will be playing at home against Ripley at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Chargers are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for South Gibson, they will venture away from home to take on Obion County at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
