Basketball Recap: Terra Ceia Christian Comes Up Short

Terra Ceia Christian lost against Rock Church back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Terra Ceia Christian Knights took a 58-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rock Church Lions.

Despite the loss, Terra Ceia Christian saw an underclassman step up: freshman Tripp Elliot went 8-for-11 to rack up 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Elliot has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Aidan Persons, who dropped a double-double with ten points and ten rebounds.

Even though they lost, Terra Ceia Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in four consecutive games.

Terra Ceia Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 19-3. As for Rock Church, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-3.

As of now, neither Terra Ceia Christian nor Rock Church have any future games scheduled.
