Basketball Game Preview: Christian County Colonels vs. Bowling Green Purples

Christian County hasn't had much luck against Bowling Green recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Christian County Colonels will take on the Bowling Green Purples in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. Christian County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.3 points per game this season.

Last Saturday, Christian County came up short against McCracken County and fell 53-40.

Christian County might have lost, but man, NeVaeh Day was a machine: she dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. Day has been hot recently, having posted ten or more rebounds the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Anaysia Bagwell, who posted ten points.

Meanwhile, Bowling Green's undefeated season came to an end after three games on Saturday. They fell just short of Warren East by a score of 46-44. The loss was the Purples' first of the season.

Christian County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Bowling Green, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Christian County lost to Bowling Green on the road by a decisive 59-40 margin in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Can Christian County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
