Basketball Recap: Tipton Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Hollyn Wilson and Mackenzie Farinella

Tipton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They lost 49-24 to the Frankton Eagles. The Blue Devils were down 40-17 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Tipton's loss came despite strong showings from Mackenzie Farinella and Hollyn Wilson. Farinella dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds, while Wilson posted two points in addition to six boards and three steals. Those 12 rebounds gave Farinella a new career-high.

Leading Frankton to victory were Macy Curtis and Lainey Hamaker. Curtis dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 boards, while Hamaker had ten points. Another player making a difference was Laela Dietzer, who scored seven points along with five rebounds and five steals.

Tipton's loss dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Frankton, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-10 record this season.

Tipton has already played their next matchup, a 57-24 defeat against Hamilton Heights on the 18th. As for Frankton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 56-23 win against Madison-Grant on the 18th.
