St. Mary's (Berkeley, Calif.) senior Trinity Wilson ran the second-fastest 60-meter hurdles time in prep history Saturday with a winning time of 8.23 seconds during the 34th annual Simplot Games in Pocatello, Idaho.
The UCLA signee won her specialty for the fourth year in a row at Simplot. The national record is 8.16.
Hometown star Dallin Farnsworth of
Highland (Pocatello, Idaho) thrilled the crowd with a strong finish to win the 3200-meter run and break a 12-year-old meet record with his time of 9:10.36.
Shawn Barber from
Kingwood Park (Kingwood, Texas) won the pole vault with a leap of 17-2 1/2, but he barely bumped the bar off at what would have been a national-record 17-9 3/4.
Lancaster (Texas) star Devin Field won the 60-meter hurdles (7.83) and the long jump (24-2 1/2).

Newburgh Free Academy (Newburgh, N.Y.) captured the high jump by clearing 6-10.
National record holder Strymar Livingston of
Columbus (Bronx, N.Y.) finished second in the 800-meter race to defending champion Canadian Tyler Smith, who set a meet record with a clocking of 1:49.51. Livingston, who owns prep records in the 500 and 600, was timed in 1:51.90.

Kell (Marietta, Ga.) junior star Kendell Williams was a triple winner during the annual Kentucky Invitational in Lexington, Ky. She won the high jump at 5-11, the long jump at 19-1 1/4 and the 55-meter hurdles in 8.57.
