Brushton-Moira hadn't done well against Tupper Lake recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Brushton-Moira Panthers were the clear victor by a 68-46 margin over the Tupper Lake Lumberjacks. The Panthers pushed the score to 56-32 by the end of the third, a deficit the Lumberjacks cut but never quite recovered from.

Despite the loss, Tupper Lake still got an impressive performance from Felix Bodeewes, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten boards. The game was Bodeewes' fifth in a row with at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Colin Strack, who went 5 for 11 on his way to 13 points.

The victory got Brushton-Moira back to even at 7-7. As for Tupper Lake, their loss dropped their record down to 10-8.

Looking ahead, Brushton-Moira will head out on the road to challenge St. Regis Falls at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Tupper Lake, they will welcome Chateaugay at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Chateaugay will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Tupper Lake surely won't give up without a fight.
