Basketball Game Preview: Spring-Ford Rams vs. Perkiomen Valley Vikings

The Spring-Ford Rams will head out to square off against the Perkiomen Valley Vikings at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Spring-Ford is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They were the clear victor by a 72-49 margin over Norristown on Tuesday. Given the Rams' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 92nd, while the Eagles are ranked 533rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Perkiomen Valley had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They took down Boyertown 37-23 on Tuesday. The 37-point effort marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Spring-Ford is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.1 points per game. As for Perkiomen Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 6-8.

Spring-Ford strolled past Perkiomen Valley when the teams last played back in December of 2024 by a score of 58-42. The rematch might be a little tougher for Spring-Ford since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
