Soccer Game Preview: Mountain View vs. Highland

The Mountain View Bruins will face off against the Highland Rams at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.

While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was Maeser Prep Academy who was credited with the win on Tuesday. The Lions got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to Mountain View's four.

Highland took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand Jordan a 1-0 shutout. Gavin O'Mara had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Highland.

Highland's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Mountain View, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.
