The Spring Hill Raiders will square off against the Warren County Pioneers & Lady Pioneers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Having struggled with four losses in a row, Spring Hill turned things around against Page on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Patriots 4-3.
Gary Cox made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Cox was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Cox wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was William Bailey, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Spring Hill is 3-1 when Bailey posts two or more stolen bases, but 7-15 otherwise. Another was Clay Robinson, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Warren County got themselves on the board against Cumberland County on Tuesday, but Cumberland County never followed suit. They blew past the Jets 8-0. The Pioneers & Lady Pioneers haven't had any issues with the Jets recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.
Keaton Rowe looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since April 5th.
At the plate, Warren County let Tyler Adams and Brady Norris run wild. Adams went 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double, while Norris went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. That's the most stolen bases Adams has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Keynai Bryan, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.
Warren County's win bumped their record up to 10-15. As for Spring Hill, their victory bumped their record up to 10-16.
Spring Hill came out on top in a nail-biter against Warren County in their previous matchup two weeks ago, sneaking past 4-2. Will the Raiders repeat their success, or do the Pioneers & Lady Pioneers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
