Volleyball Recap: Staples Comes Up Short

Staples lost against New Canaan back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Wreckers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rams.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: New Canaan scored at least 17 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-18, 22-25, 25-23.

Helena Jan was the offensive standout of the match as she had 28 assists and three aces.

Staples' defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for New Canaan, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-2.

Staples does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for New Canaan, they will challenge Ludlowe at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
