Basketball Recap: Cinnaminson Pirates vs. Trenton Catholic Academy

It was a good run, but the Cinnaminson Pirates unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Monday. They had to suffer through a rough 64-34 loss at the hands of Trenton Catholic Academy. Cinnaminson has not had much luck with the recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

It was another big night for Mayah Alford, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds for Trenton Catholic Academy. Alford has been hot recently, having posted nine or more rebounds the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayla Oliphant, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.

Cinnaminson's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-7. As for Trenton Catholic Academy, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cinnaminson will take on the Panthers at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Palmyra's defense has only allowed 29.7 points per game this season, so the Pirates' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Trenton Catholic Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lancers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
