Baseball Recap: Somerset Comes Up Short

After flying high against Jefferson last Thursday, Somerset came back down to earth. The Somerset Bulldogs lost 12-4 to the TMI-Episcopal Panthers on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 12-7 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2018.

Somerset saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gavin Martinez, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-2. Josiah Gonzales was another, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one double.

Somerset's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for TMI-Episcopal, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.

Somerset didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 6-3 victory against Ingram Moore on the 8th. As for TMI-Episcopal, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Smithville on the 8th.
