Basketball Recap: Montverde Academy Gold Takes a Loss

On Friday, the Montverde Academy Gold Eagles were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 59-55 to the Legacy School of Sport Sciences Titans. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 168th in Florida, while the Titans are ranked 43rd in Texas).

This is the second loss in a row for Montverde Academy Gold and nudges their season record down to 10-6. As for Legacy School of Sport Sciences, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-5.

Montverde Academy Gold has already played their next match (against Phelps), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Legacy School of Sport Sciences, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 105-68 win against Hill School on the 8th.
