Softball Recap: Central Comes Up Short

If Central was riding high fresh off their 20-3 takedown of Madison Prep Academy on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Central Wildcats fell 10-5 to the St. Amant Gators on Friday. The contest marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Central has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. The victory made it two in a row for St. Amant and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

Coming up, Central will venture away from home to take on Assumption at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for St. Amant, they will welcome St. Joseph's Academy at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
