Softball Recap: New Berlin Eisenhower Gets the Win

New Berlin Eisenhower won the last time they faced Waukesha South and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Lions came out on top against the Blackshirts by a score of 11-6. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lions.

Riley Carriveau was a major factor no matter where she played. She pitched seven innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off four hits. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (five). She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.

In other batting news, Kylie Koch was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four runs, two RBI, and one double. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Chloe Majinski also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

New Berlin Eisenhower kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are 4-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

New Berlin Eisenhower's record is now 6-9. As for Waukesha South, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-8.

Looking ahead, New Berlin Eisenhower is taking a road trip to square off against Wisconsin Lutheran at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Vikings' pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so the Lions' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Waukesha South, they will host Nicolet at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
