Baseball Recap: Rogers Comes Up Short

Rogers was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of Hopkins. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Hopkins this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-6 on Monday.

Rogers' loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Hopkins, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season.

Rogers has already played their next match (against Minnetonka), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Hopkins, they have also already played their next contest, a 12-2 win against Eden Prairie on the 21st.
